The couple behind the Odd Man Inn didn't set out to start an animal refuge; they were just trying to do right by a dog who'd had a hard life and needed some extra space. Once they had that space, these vegan animal lovers saw an opportunity to respond to a need in their community.
The Odd Man Inn takes in farm animals that traditional animal shelters are ill-equipped to handle. They provide a safe, loving spot for chickens, rabbits, pigs, cows, and goats to recover and patiently await the right adoptive family. In addition to their work sheltering animals, they offer hands-on sanctuary tours, and educational and volunteer opportunities for people of all ages.
