I've lost track of the number of clients who have confessed that they become most attached to their home right before they sell it. Sometimes–although it's rare–clients make preparations to sell only to realize they like their home so much that they decide to stay.
The old adage about not knowing what you've got until it's gone probably holds true here, but it's also true that part of preparing a home for sale is fixing, clearing out, and cleaning it up. In other words, we do the most work on our homes right before we leave them. What would it be like if we made and kept our homes beautiful for ourselves?
